NEST is a range of large baskets made of a single piece of laser cut Cork-Leather that is held together with a sewn seam. The pieces reflect the excellent characteristics of cork leather by using as little material as possible: flexibility, strength and light weight. This results in unexpected and generous shapes.
The design comes in 3 different sizes to store magazines, fire wood, plaids or cushions. Turning over the rim guarantees additional stability. The Cork-Leather consists of a thin layer of cork, which is glued under high pressure to rugged fabric.
We developed our prototypes within one week at a workshop in the South of France, together with the other nine finalists from all over the world.
